message from SONiA:
to my dear family friends fans frogs princes and
you;
i wish you peace and joy and pleasure in 2009.
it is good to be alive...good to be who we are...with the
freedom to choose this moment and breathe in our future. my prayers go out to our brothers and sisters in the middle
east...for peace and less rockets more guitars. 2009 looks to be
really fine and full of many (solo) concerts, some special events,
and a summer full of festivals as well. i will be performing at the Kerrville Folk Festival,
Susquehanna Music and Arts Festival, Virginia Women's Music Festival, keep an
eye on the web site for others .
As
i write this we are in the final planning stages, planning the stages for which
i will sing and dance and love people from in New Zealand. I want to
thank you for continuing to listen and attend my concerts and turning folks
onto to my sound and vibe. North American Spring starts
with a Wolf Trap Concert followed by a songwriter retreat and concert in
Toronto, then off to Music Messe in Frankfurt,
Germany supporting my favorite SHUBB Capos and SANTA CRUZ GUITARS.
We are looking toward a very full year. Wolf Trap tickets are on sale. i hope you can come to this grand event on Wednesday March
18 it is my East Coast Birthday Bash where i will be
playing new songs as well as old favorites. Following Germany is another
project that i am excited about. I will be
producing the debut CD for the amazingly talented 14 year old violinist, Sam Wieser. Some of you may have seen Sam and I play
together at Fodfest or
at Bodles.
In the
summer between festivals look to see more regional concerts added. So
be safe have fun hug your children and your parents! shalom
salaam and peace....sonia
let's try to be our best this year...more of the
time.
